Pearl V. Knight

Pearl V. Knight, 73, of Roscoe died Thursday, Feb. 18, after a long illness. Born Feb. 25 in Rockford, she was the youngest of Ambrose and Angelina Bonacquisti's eight children. She graduated from West High School in 1960 and married Jack Knight in 1968. Before becoming a mother, Pearl worked as a hostess at D'Agostino's.

Family and friends will remember Pearl for her bravado and the pride she took in her Italian heritage and the various Lincolns and Cadillacs she drove over the years. Pearl loved to travel with her husband and son, golf with girlfriends and gamble, both in casinos and at the kitchen table with her extended family.

Pearl is survived by her husband, son Todd (Deann); grandchildren, Frankie and Addison; sisters Mafalda Darnell and Sylvia Bonne; brother Angelo Bonacquisti; a niece and numerous nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Vincent and Ambrose; and a sister, Jennie Hillers.
Memorial service at 11am Wednesday February 24, 2016 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation from 10am until service time Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials to be established by the family. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
