Pauline M. Brown, 86, Rockford, died at 10:37 a.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 in Swedish American Hospital. Born December 9, 1921 in Corning AR, daughter of Asie and Myrtle Compton Porter. Married Henry P. Brown in Corning on December 9, 1939. Rockford resident since 1948. She had been employed through the years at GE, Carter Tool, Warner Lambert and retired from Rockford Rescue Mission. Member of Lincolnwood Baptist Church. Pauline was a very loving and caring woman who loved her family deeply. She was a wonderful, stylishly dressed grandmother who her grandchildren adored. Survivors include her daughters, Ruth (LaVerne) Lenstrom and Anita (Thomas) Hillenburg; sons, Herman (Annita) Brown and Ken (Peggy) Brown; grandchildren Phillip, Mark, Paula, Tonya, Greg, Doug, Tina, Tabitha, Tasha, Amanda and Jason. Also survived by14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Crown, Henrietta (Jake) Baumgardner, Lois Tripp, Vana (Bill) Mitchell; brother, Olen (Joyce) Porter and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband on November 5, 2001; her parents, infant son, Henry and her sister, Mildred Green. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with her son, Pastor Herman Brown officiating. Burial in Kishwaukee Cemetery. Visitation from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.
