Pauline Louise (Weegie) Hauck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Rockford, IL. She was born the youngest of six children to the late Marion and Helen Koewler on May 2, 1938 in Ripley, Ohio. She moved to Wisconsin with her family where she became an avid Green Bay Packer fan for the rest of her life. She later moved to Illinois where she took a job as the cafeteria manager for the Catholic High School, Aquin High, where her son’s attended. She was a very big supporter of the Aquin Booster club and never missed a football or basketball game her son’s played in. She started working for Herrling and Schmitt in Freeport but eventually ended up in Rockford, Illinois when they merged with Williams-Manny. She was the Manager of Accounting until her retirement in 2008.
In her free time, Pauline loved playing cards. Pauline was a part of card groups in both Freeport and Rockford, as well as a Rockford domino’s club. She loved to travel both statewide and nationally, and when the grandchildren started to move out of state, she was happy to go visit. She tried annually to go to Ohio to see her nieces and nephews, and everyone was excited as she would make tacos, enchiladas or homemade pizza. She was avid about her Catholic faith, and made sure to go to church every Sunday until she was no longer able to do so.
Pauline is survived by her children Mark (Ranae) Hauck, Theresa (Zig) Sekula, and Jeffrey (Laura) Hauck; her Grandchildren Stephanie (Chris) Russell and Nicole (Josh) Goff; her Great-Grandchildren Wyatt Russell, Chevelle Goff and Penelope Louise Goff; Sister Rose Rockey numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
