Pauline Clara Mandzen Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Pauline Clara Mandzen, 96, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2009 at River Bluff Nursing Home. Pauline was born July 17, 1912 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Phillip J. and Frances (Palluck) Chock. Pauline married Michael Mandzen in Minneapolis, MN on Novembber 7, 1936. Pauline had worked as a waitress at various restaurants in the Rockford area and then worked as a post office clerk for 20 years until retiring in 1974. Pauline was a member Cathedral of St. Peter, volunteered for many agencies and loved quilting, crocheting and needlework. Pauline is survived by her sons, Robert (Mary) Mandzen and Richard (Mary) Mandzen; grandchildren, Tammy McNeany, Rick (Angie) Mandzen, Michael (Kathleen) Mandzen, Sarah Mandzen and Vicki Johnson; great-grandchildren, Mark and Eric Mandzen, Lauryn Mandzen, Erin Mandzen, Andrew Mandzen, Devyn Mcneany, Matthew Mandzen and Maiya Johnson. Pauline was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Michael (Feb.7, 1957), and eight siblings. The family of Pauline would like to give a "Special" Thank You to the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St., Rockford. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
