Paul Giambeluca, 84, Rockford, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, He was born May 21, 1931, in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Ione Giambeluca. He attended Winnebago High School. Paul was a 4 year veteran of the Army serving for 2 years in Korea. He married Arlene Jones in Rockford on October 4, 1952. Paul retired as the head of the maintenance department at Rockford Products after 42 years. He coached baseball and basketball with the youth at Lincoln Park Boy’s Club, Northwest Community Center, Ken-Rock Community Center, and Roy Gayle Baseball Park. He also refereed and umpired at the high school level for over 25 years. Paul was a lover of all animals and enjoyed spending time with his family but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Arlene; his children, Paul (Kathy) Giambeluca of Arlington Heights, Terry Manzullo of Rockford, Vicky (Roger) Wissmach of Rockford, Larry (Anna) Giambeluca of Rockford, and Gail (David) Bragg of Stillman Valley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents; his grandson, Jeffery Gille, his son-in-law, Carl Manzullo, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 7, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
