Paul F. Hoover

Paul F. Hoover, 76, Rockford, died suddenly at home on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2009.  Born September 22, 1932 in Sterling, son of Ernest and Edna Eilers Hoover.  Married George Ann Olsen in Rockford on June 23, 1956.  Retired in 1997 from Ingersoll Cutting Tool Co. after 42 years as a machinist.  Member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Paul enjoyed bowling, sporting events and spending time with his family. Despite his inability to hear, speal or lip read, Paul had an amazing ability to connect and make friends with so many. His warm personality and big smile will be greatly missed and will not ever be forgotten.   Survivors include his wife, George Ann; son, Paul Hoover, San Jose, CA and Robert (Kimberly) Hoover, Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Sierrah, Mitchell, Miles and Cole Hoover. Also survived by his siblings, Ruth Plock, Jane (Jim) Kielback, Robert (Roberta) Hoover, Allan (Diana) Hoover and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, his sister, Bernice Olson and his sister-in-law, Gretchen Wetterholt.   Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2008 in Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. John Reinke officiating.  Visitation from 11L00a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
