Paul E. Ryan

Paul E. Ryan, 75 of Rockford, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in his home. Born September 11, 1935 in Cresco, IA, the son of Gerald and Minnie (Broghammer) Ryan. Served in the United States Air Force stationed in Japan. He worked for United Airlines for several years as a crew scheduler and in airline management until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Ryan of Rockford; step-children, Larry (Kay) Piemonte of Carol Stream and Linda Upton of Evanston; step-grandchildren, Evan and Phillip Piemonte and great granddaughter, Seiryu Piemonte; brothers, Thomas, Phillip and Dean Ryan all of Cresco, IA; sisters, Anna Meyers of Ridgeway, IA, Gerry Sorenson of Decorah, IA and Joan McGavick of Idaho and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Henry; brother, Robert Ryan and 2 siblings in infancy. All services will be held in Iowa at a later date. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel is assisting the family.
