Paul E. Brengle of Rockford passed away Friday July 19, 2013 in Alpine Fireside. He was born June 23, 1932 in Aurora, IL. The son of Paul and Loretta (DeSotell) Brengle. He married Phyllis Finney in Plymouth, IN on August 3, 1957. Paul served in the US Air Force for 26 years. After retiring from the Air Force he began his work at Roper Whitney. Paul loved fishing, Nascar, woodworking and the Bears. Survivors include his Wife Phyllis. Children, Ronald (Jackie) Brengle of Rockford and Denise (Kevin) Erickson of Loves Park. Grandchild, Steven Erickson. Step-grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Hoover of VA, Janet (Adrian) Palafox of Rockford, Matthew (Shiela) Erickson of Caledonia, Jennifer (Cameron) Johnson of Rockford and Jacqueline Erickson of Rockford. Sister, Loretta Kroening of Green Bay. Brother, Stan (Norma) Brengle of Machesney Park. Great grandchildren, Emilio, Maya, Liam, Maurice, Raymond, Alannah and Lucas. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents. Son, Jerry Brengle. Brother George Brengle. God-daughter, Debbie Kroening. Nephews, Johnny Szynkowicz and Lonnie Finney. Brother-in-law, Larry Kroening, sister-in-law Shirley Szynkowicz. Services at 11am Tuesday July 23, 2013 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 North Rockton Ave..
