Patrick "Pat" Mckee

Patrick McKee, 52, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 with family by his side at St Anthony Hospital, Rockford IL. Pat was a dedicated companion, caring son, loving father and mentor to many. Always his mom’s right hand. He never entered a room without a smile on his face. He was an avid fisherman and a true Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed the company of friends sitting by a bonfire and listening to music. He will truly be missed by all his family and friends. Pat is survived by his beloved fiancée, Shelley Cain (McKee); daughter, Sloan McKee; mother, Nancy McKee; brother, Don McKee; sisters, Trishia McKee, Kelly (Stevie) Johnston; nephews, Tyler, Spencer and Ryan McKee; two aunts, one uncle and numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary McKee, sister, Nicole McKee, maternal grandparents, James and Martha Rubly and paternal grandparents, Myron and Maria McKee. A visitation will be held on October 3, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 South Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL. A Memorial Mass will be held on October 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
