Patrick J. Glennon, 42, of Rockford passed away suddenly Monday, Dec. 13, after a long illness. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 9, 1968 in Rockford, loving son of Timothy and Dolores Laurie (Lyons) Glennon. Attended St. Rita Grade School and St. Francis Consolidated. Patrick graduated from Boylan High School in1986 and received his degree in Computer Science from Marquette University in 1990. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Patrick greatly enjoyed the outdoors, animals, camping, music and playing cards. Favorite vacation destinations were Disney, Camp Marydale and Aunt Marys cottage. Pat was known for his kind, gentle-hearted nature and sense of humor. Throughout his illness he inspired those around him with his strength, courage, humility and joy. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. We would like to thank all of the family, friends and caregivers who helped take care of Patrick at home during the last 18 years. Loving Uncle of Timothy and Leo, Jordan, Sam and Bryn, Andrew and Emma Glennon, Grace and Joey Linus, Cassandra, Brendan and Thomas Waldorf. Fond Nephew of Owen and Marge Glennon, Rosemary and the late Frank Farley, Martin and Patricia Glennon, Mary Lyons, Helen Whited and Frances (Gerald) Dudek. Predeceased by father, Timothy, maternal grandparents, Helen and George Lyons and paternal grandparents, Owen and Elsie Glennon.
