Patrick J. Devine

Patrick J. Devine 55 of Rockford passed away Wednesday October 12, 2016 in his home. He was born August 5, 1961 in Rockford, the son of Millard and Eileen Devine. He graduated from East High School and then from NIU where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and his Illinois Teaching Certificate. He worked as a Corrections Office for the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include his father, Millard, brothers, Jeff (Amie) Devine of Chicago and Noel (Terri) Devine of Roscoe. Nephew Nathan Devine of Rockford. Nieces, Alisen (Braxton) O’Hearn and Natasha (Jon) Recknagel and great nephew, Liam Recknagel. Predeceased by his mother Eileen, sister Colleen Davis and Brother-in-law, Gary Davis.

Visitation from 11am until 11:45 Friday, October 21, 2016 followed immediately by the Funeral Mass at 12pm in St James Catholic Church 428 N. 2nd Street Rockford with Father Leonard Jacobs Pastor officiating. Burial 1:30 pm on Friday, October 21 at Calvary Cemetery. There will be an open late lunch/early dinner at St. James Church following the burial at 2:00 pm.
