Patrick J. Calhoun

Patrick J. Calhoun Patrick J. Calhoun, 67, of Monroe Center, IL, died on December 27, 2007 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Patrick was born December 23, 1940 in Racine,Wisconsin the son of John and Myrtle Calhoun. He moved to Tucson, Arizona at the age of seven and then came to the Rockford area in 1966. Patrick married Linda L. (Robbins) Banks on February 14, 1997 in Cherry Valley. Patrick was a US Army Veteran of Viet Nam with the 1st Calvary Division earning the Air Medal with 10 oak leaf clusters. He had worked at Sundstrand for 32 years before retiring January 1, 2000. Patrick had worked part-time for Hilander Fuel Center in Cherry Valley for the past three years. He was a lifetime member of the Loves Park VFW Post 9759 and member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church. Patrick is survived by his wife Linda; his four daughters, Cheryl (Ric) Sandusky, Kathy (Bob) Maculan, Sandy (Greg) Hahn and Debbie Calhoun; his step-daughter, Amy (Chris) Flood; his step-son, David (Jacalyn) Banks and his eight grandchildren, David and Kirstyn, Cindy and Jullia, Elizabeth and Jason, and Hannah and Gwendolyn. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Don Calhoun. A memorial service for Patrick will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 1:00p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 with Pastor Nancy Rutherford of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church officiating. Family and friends may
