Patricia "Patti" S. Loven

November 20, 1951 — October 10, 2014

Patricia Sue Loven of Rockford, Il passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on October 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 20, 1951 in South Beloit, Illinois to William and Marie Gorman. Married John Loven on March 4, 1988. Predeceased by her parents, William and Marie Gorman; sister, Billie Davis; and Father in law, Rodger Loven. She is survived by her beloved husband John; mother-in-law, Theresa Loven; children, Cynthia (Ronald) Taylor, John (Julie) Loven and Mike (Carrie) Loven; grandchildren, Austin Loven, Zachary Taylor, Taleigh Loven, Madison Loven, Ethan Taylor, Allie Loven and Gabriel Taylor; Mother in law Theresa Loven; sisters, Pam (Jerry) Borgwardt and Jan (Kevin) Keller; brother in law, Joseph (Ilona) Loven; sister in law, Josephine (James) Saxton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patti was a loving, generous, outgoing person who made friends wherever she went. She had a positive impact upon countless lives and her gentle spirit will be sorely missed. Her vast circle of friends was treasured by her, especially her best friend, Andi Lackey. Patti loved Jesus and was involved in CBS where she taught little ones about God's love. She will miss them all, especially her buddy, Jack Behmer. Patti will be remembered as always being involved in her grandkids lives by attending their sporting events, going to coffee, shopping, or just listening. She was a wonderful cook and took pleasure in making food for everyone and cheering for her beloved Packers. Patti enjoyed traveling, whether it was spending time in Door County with John or exploring Italy where she visited several times.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for their compassionate care; Dr. Praveen Deshmukh of UW Madison Hospital and Meriter Hospital in Madison; Drs. Nameer Mardini and Prakash Pedapati of Swedish American Regional Cancer Center; her wonderful nurses on the seventh floor -Theresa, Nancy, Carol and Jenny; and Sharon Whelan, Patient Advocate at Swedish American Hospital.

Memorial Service at 4pm on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be held from 3pm Saturday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be sent to the Rockford Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1958, Rockford, IL 61110.
