Patricia "Pat" Ann Fry

Patricia “Pat” Ann Fry, 86, Rockford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Cedarhurst of Rockford. She was born January 23, 1937, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Norbert and Bernice (Vonah) Doherty. Pat married Richard H. Fry in Freeport on April 14, 1956. He passed away on May 8, 2020. She enjoyed working in her garden, playing games, especially Euchre, Cribbage, and Yahtzee but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Their home was the second home to many of their son’s friends throughout the years.

Survived by her sons, Dennis (Pam) of LaGrange, David (Marcia) of Cottage Grove, WI. Douglas (Nanci) of Rockford, and Dean (Kristin) of Roscoe; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Harris of Helena, MT; her brother, James Norbert Doherty, of Ariquipa, Peru; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Richard, her parents, and her sister and brother-in-law, Norma and William Hocking.
