Patricia Elsie Halbe

Patricia Elsie Halbe 91 of Rockford passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015 in Rockford. She was born May 9, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of John and Goldie Whitney. She worked as department head secretary for Caterpillar in Aurora for 35 years. She was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Her deep love for her Irish heritage was displayed through her wit. She was an amazing mother, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Pat was loved by all who knew her and emulated the love of Christ to those she met.
Survivors include her two children, Kathy (Rev. Jeffrey) Schweiger of Rockford, Earl Oscar (Elizabeth) Halbe of Charleston, IL. Grandchildren, Christina (Scott) Soderberg of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Amy (Mark) Zurowski of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Jonathan (Nicole) Schweiger of Green Bay, WI and Michael Schweiger of Denver, CO. Five great grandchildren, Mitchell, Elsie, Adelyn, Katherine and Isabella.
