Patricia C. Riordan

Patricia C. Trish Riordan, 80, Rockford, died Monday October 5, 2009, at P.A. Peterson Home. She was born June 6, 1929, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Florence (Kraemer) Woods. Trish married Dr. Forrest H. Riordan, III in Rockford on September 15, 1976. She was a social worker in Clinton, IA before moving to Rockford where she worked with her husband in his medical practice as his secretary. She was a 1980 graduate of Rockford College. Trish is a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and a past member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was active in Catholic Womens charities in her earlier years. She was a member of the Mendelssohn Club and loved to play the piano. Trish studied piano under Irene Glasford for many years. She enjoyed traveling all over the world with Forrest and was an avid reader.

Survived by her husband, Forrest; son, Alex (Nancy) Riordan and daughter, Heather (David) Bremer, both from Chicago; brothers, David (Janet) Woods of Roscoe, Richard (Janice) Woods of Freeport, Gerald(Brenda) Woods of Fulton, Michael (Karen) Woods of Champaign, Dennis (Patricia) Woods of Fulton, and Lawrence (Eva) Woods of Thomson; many nieces and nephews; many special friends including, Tilley and Herb Schulze and Gordon Eggers.

Predeceased by her parents and a brother, Thomas Woods.

Funeral service will be held at 10;30am on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford, IL, 61107 with Rev. Lee Laaveg officiating. Burial in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation from 9:30am until time of service at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
