Pamela Jane Ambrogio

Pamela Jane Ambrogio, 62, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Pam was born in Muscatine, Iowa on June 16, 1953; to parents Roger and Deloris (Moomey) Rhodes. She married her loving husband Giuseppe Ambrogio, on August 28, 1975, in Rockford, and spent 40 wonderful years together. Pam and Giuseppe ran Ambrigio’s Restaurant in Belvidere for many years. She loved music, dancing, an occasional chocolate martini, and swimming with her family. She will always be remembered for her fabulous cooking, her loving nature, and her devotion to her family. Pam was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother; she will be missed dearly by her family and those who knew her.
Survived by her husband, Giuseppe Ambrogio; children, Tony (Kimberly) Ambrogio, Tammy (David) Kelly, Joe (Elizabeth) Ambrogio; grandchildren, Anthony, Adam, Giuseppe, Katie, and Danielle Ambrogio; mother, Deloris Rhodes; siblings, Patty (Dan) Henthorn, Perry (Kathy) Rhodes, Peter (Katrina) Rhodes, Paul (Kristi) Rhodes, Paxton (Kelli) Rhodes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pam is predeceased by her father, Roger Rhodes.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with Pastor Bob Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Rockford. Memorial donations may be given to the Ambrogio Family to be determined at a later time. Funeral arrangements cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel.
