Pamela Elizabeth Corder

Pamela Elizabeth “Pam” Corder, 68, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Loving mother, grandmother and friend, she was born June 30, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Tillery) Karnes. Pam retired from Rockford Power Train and was a very active member of Berean Baptist Church.
Survived by her special friend, Marilyn Gay; her children, Kelly (Greg Leathers) Peters of Rockford, Stephen Peters of Rockford, and Amy (Jeff) Taber of Machesney Park; her grandchildren, Randy Peters, Tayrin (Katonka Friar) Peters, Tyler Feldman, Reece Gabriel Peters; her great grandson, Esiah Friar; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her brothers, and her sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Berean Baptist Church, 5626 Safford Rd, Rockford, 61101, with Reverend Mark Swanson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Memorials may be made to the church in Pam’s name.
