Orvis M. Green

Orvis M. Green, 87, of Rockford, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Medina Manor in Durand. He was born on December 9, 1928, the son of Clarence and Agnes (Morkved) Green in La Farge, Wi. Graduated La Farge High School in 1947. He married Mary J. Turner on September 5, 1952. Orvis was a very active member at Our Masters United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bird watching, but above all else, he was a devoted family man. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Kelly (Carol) Green of Monroe, Wi, and Jeannette (Manuel) Castaneda of Durand; his grandchildren, Amanda Green, Elizabeth (Steve) Rud, Teresa Green, Vannesa Skattum, Jake Bloyer and Mary Bloyer; great grandchildren, Nathanial, Radin, George, and Cadence; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Mary, his parents, and 4 sisters.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, Our Masters Center, 5973 Darlene Drive, Rockford, at 10:45 a.m. Inurnment private.
