Orville W. “Tank” Reichenbach Jr., 87, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.
Orville was born in Rockford, IL on June 5, 1934, son of Orville W. and Jeanette (Ogilby) Reichenbach Sr. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years. Orville married Jo Ann Wells at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Loves Park on December 8, 1956. He was a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church as well as the LLL Society. Orville worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring with Jewel. He also drove and delivered coats for Rhomberg Furs after retirement. Orville enjoyed working out at the YMCA and loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Patricia (David) Marston; grandchildren, Courtney, Kristina, Tricia, Kara, Heidi, Cody and Brendon; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Janice McHenry, Jessica Carter, Joann (Mike) Hall and Jennifer (Tom) Wallace; brother-in-law, Wayne (Glenda) Wells; many nieces, nephews and best friend, Dick Hobart and good friend, Ginny Meyers. Orville is predeceased by his parents; wife, Jo Ann; son, Mike; sister, Jeanne and brother, Joe.
Cremation rites will be accorded. To honor Orville’s wishes, no public services will be held.
