Norma Rose Agostini

Norma Rose Agostini, 93, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020. Norma was born September 11, 1927 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Peter and Beatrice (Zordan) Bonaguro. Norma graduated from Rockford West High School. She married the love of her life, Peter Agostini on April 10, 1948 and they have been madly in love ever since. Norma worked for the Medical Society and then The University of Illinois College of Medicine in the medical library. She was a longtime member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. Norma loved playing the piano. She was also a member of the Venetian Club and Veneto Nel Mondo. Norma enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling with her husband. Norma was the kindest, sweetest woman. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survived by her beloved husband, Peter; daughters, Lori Agostini and Cheryl (Brian) Buffington; grandchildren, Katie Buffington and Elena Buffington; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; godchildren; special friends, the Mario Calvagna family and Lynn Haller who have been a tremendous help and support. Predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Alessandro and Noemi Francesca Zordan, her parents; brother, Richard Bonguro.
Cremation rites accorded with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norma’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
