Norma M. Babbitt

Norma M. Babbitt, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Alpine Fireside. She was born in Walhalla, North Dakota on July 16, 1924; daughter of William and Luella (Braget) Tessmer. She married Jess Babbitt in Rockford on May 19, 1946. Norma worked in the payroll department at Bergners for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1995.She is survived by her sons, Gary Babbitt and David (Debbie) Babbitt of Winnebago; daughters, Karen (Dan) Terry of Cape Coral, FL and Christine Hartzell of Dickinson, TX; 4 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 6 greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Jess and brother, William Tessmer, Jr.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Visitation from 10:00a.m. until time of service. Private burial in Willwood Burial Park.
