NORMA J. LINDQUIST Loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Friend Norma J. Lindquist, 75, Rockford, passed away at 12:45 P.M., Saturday, March 3, 2007, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 20, 1931, the daughter of Oral and Blanche (Houg) Miller. Norma married Digby "Digger" Lindquist in Rockford on October 14, 1950. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Norma graduated from East High School in 1948. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Ericson Construction Company for 20 years. Norma loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and play cards, especially bridge. She enjoyed going to the casinos to play poker and blackjack. She enjoyed her cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean and spending winters in West Palm Beach, Florida. Norma is survived by her husband of 56 years, Digby: daughter, Peggy(Kevin) Ekedahl of Milton WI and her son, Tom (special friend Anne Verace) Lindquist of Rockford; grandchildren, Kelly (Chad) Kliefoth and Michael (special friend Jessica Krogman) Ekedahl; sister, Joan Cameron, Sun City, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews and Norma and Digbys lifelong friends, Marian and Gerald Strand. She is predeceased by her parents, brother-in-law, William Cameron. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with the Pastor Len Hoffmann, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 in the funeral home, and also on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park.
