Nicholas J. Kreidich

Nicholas J. Kreidich, 80, of Rockford, passed away, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born August 28, 1935 in Sorosten, Poland the son of John & Weronika (Abramovich) Kreidich. He moved to the Rockford area in 1950 coming from Germany. He worked for Wood & Brooks and later retired as an inspector from Gunite Corporation after more than twenty five years. Married Theresa Bender on September 23, 1961, in Rockford. Served in the US Army in Frankfurt, Germany as a medic. Member of St. Stanislaus Church, and White Eagle Club. He played on a soccer league for the Baltic Club in the 60’s and remained an avid fan of soccer. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, son; Chester, sisters Janine (Lee) Johnson, Marie Popienko, and Lucy Kreidich. Brothers Michael (Camille) Kreidich, Chester Kreidich, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 12 noon, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford. Visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service.
