Nicholas J. Cary

Dr. Nicholas J. Cary, 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Niki (Gagomiros), of 40 years; son, James; daughter, Eleni (Dave) Cimino; grandchildren Jalena, Alexandra and Anthony; sister Frances Kochicas as well as family and friends throughout the world.
Predeceased by sister Nora Goomas.
Graduate of Beloit College and Loyola University.

He leaves a living legacy of love, laughter and friendship.
He served valiantly in the Navy during WWII, was an international foster parent for 40 years and was a revered and respected dentist in the Rockford community for 55 years earning him the distinguished designation of lifetime member of the American Dental Association. His love and passion for dentistry, his patients and colleagues continued throughout his career, most recently for Dr. Vincent Zammuto and his respected associates at the Mulford Dental Group.

Visitation from 47 pm, Sunday, May 20, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford.
Service at 12:30 pm, Monday, May 21, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 108 N. Fifth Street, Rockford.
