Nevagay Keener Kressly, 94, Rockford, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009, in Rosewood Care Center. She was born August 29, 1914, in Grafton, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Wolf) Keener. Nevagay married Harry H. Kressly in Bethlehem, PA on July 22, 1933. He predeceased her on August 15, 1982. She was a manager at the Fountain Hill Outlet Store in Bethlehem, PA. Nevagay was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Rockford.
Survived by her daughter, Nevagay H. (Donald) Abel; grand daughters, Katherine A. (Jeffrey) Butz, Nevagay M. Abel, and Alicia A. (Gregory) Powers; grandsons, Douglas M. (Ann) Kressly and Paul Kressly; great grandchildren, Rachel A. and David J. Butz, Eric Kressly, Justin D. Abel, and Grace N. Powers; daughter-in-law, Marian Kressly of Macungie, PA. Predeceased by her son, LeRoy D. Kressly January 24, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church, 5907 Sullivan Trail Nazareth, PA. Burial in Morgenland Cemetery, Allentown, PA.
