Neil H. Manning

Neil H. Manning, 83, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away June 29, 2017 at the Milwaukee V.A. Medical Center. Born May 18, 1934 in Knapp, WI, the son of Neil S. and Laura (Anger) Manning. Neil was an electrician and worked for the Milwaukee Road for 29 years. Married Mary Lou Swanson in Rockford. Neil enjoyed golfing, watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He coached little league and flag football for years.
Survivors include daughters Mary Ann (Glen) Barclay and Sandra (Dave) Washechek; granddaughter Krista Washechek; brothers Jim and Gary Manning; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, wife and daughter Carla.


Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service.
