Nate D. Mohar, 35, of Stillman Valley, passed away surrounded by his family on January 1, 2017. He was born on September 18, 1981 in Havre, Montana, the son of Bob and Denise (Nelson) Mohar. Nate graduated from East High School in 2000, and then attended University of Montana. Nate attended Heartland Community Church. Nate had a passion for the outdoors, whether it was fishing, baseball, or hockey. He played baseball at Royal Gayle from ages 6-16, he played hockey with the Rockford Hockey Club and was a member of the Rockford Icemen. Nothing compared to his love for team roping with his dad. Nate loved all animals especially his dogs Sheva, Jada, and Lucky. Nate had a personality that was larger than life and he will be missed by all of those who knew him.
Nate is survived by his loving parents Bob and Denise Mohar, Grandpa James Nelson of Belvidere; Grandma Anne Mohar of Billings, Montana; special friend Mari Alonso; adopted sister Polly Taylor; adopted grandparents Joe and GayLynn McConnell; many aunts and uncles Wayne and Mary Nelson, Debbie Peaslee, Dennis Nelson, Kim Nelson, and Dana Nelson all of Illinois. Montana aunts and uncles include Richard And Marcia Mohar, Kathy and Patrick Weeres, Diane and Gary Messerly, Mary Lou and Joey McConnell, numerous cousins far and near and many friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Swedish American Heart Hospital for their loving care.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Heartland Community Church. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. until time of service. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Celebrate Recovery at Heartland Community Church.
