Nancy Wilcox, 74, Rockford, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away on November 28, 2020. She was born November 28, 1946, in Rockford, the daughter of Stanley and Audrey (Gerbode) Semiche. Nancy married the love of her life, Jack Wilcox, on August 14, 1965. They had two children, Melissa and Mark. Nancy had a very strong faith, working in her church in many capacities throughout her life. She lived life with a smile and was fun to be around. She had a gift for welcoming others and making sure they were included. She was a member of Freedom Through the Word Church where her husband serves as pastor. After the loss of their son, Mark, Nancy served for many years in grief support ministries helping others who had suffered the loss of children. She also served many years in retreat ministries such as Tres Dias and Credo Recovery (designed for addiction recovery). Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004, she served as an inspiration to all who knew her as she lived her life with love and grace in spite of the pain and stumbling blocks the disease presented.
Survived by her husband, Jack, her daughter, Melissa (Bill) Glass, her granddaughters, Audra (Greg) Pacheco, Marlo Glass and Chloe Glass, her great-grandson, Oliver Pacheco, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, her son, Mark, and her sister, Sharon Reemtsma.
