Nancy J. Korlesky

Nancy J. Korlesky, age 91, Rockford, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Swedish American Hospital. She was born December 31, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie Drager. As a young girl, Nancy moved with her family to Oshkosh where she attended St John’s Catholic School and Oshkosh High School. In 1952, Nancy graduated from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She married Ralph Korlesky on June 22, 1957, in Oshkosh and moved to Manitowoc. In 1962 they moved to Rockford, Illinois. Nancy was a grade school teacher for Rockford Public and Parochial Schools. She attended St. Edwards Catholic Church in Rockford. She enjoyed playing the piano, knitting, traveling, volunteering and lending a helping hand to friends. Survivors include daughters Louise DeVoney, Amy Vicioso; sons David Korlesky, Michael Korlesky (Tammy) and Mark Korlesky. She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 3020 11th St, Rockford, with Father George Bravo officiating. Visitation with Rosary will be held Tuesday, April 26 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission or Poor Clares.
