Nancy E Blake

Nancy Ellen Blake of Cherry Valley died August 28, 2013 surrounded by family following a brief illness. She was born November 10, 1953 in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of Robert G. and Betty J. (Marston) Blake. She graduated from Belvidere High School and Northern Illinois University. Nancy was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 23 years and was most recently a mail carrier in Loves Park. She enjoyed reading, gardening, her feline companions, Ella and Lucy, and remodeling her home. She is survived by her mother Betty J. Blake of Rockford, a brother Robert M. (Janet) Blake of Sawyer, Michigan, and sisters Mary L. Schleeter of Peoria, Illinois, Barbara S. (Tim) Fitch of Belvidere, Illinois, and Elizabeth A. (Cary) Winn of Racine, Wisconsin as well as several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her father Robert G. Blake and a brother David Michael Blake.

Cremation rites accorded by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 South Mulford Rd, Rockford IL., 61108. A memorial celebration will be held on September 22, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. at Bauman Park in Cherry Valley. Please refer to the Fitzgerald Funeral Home website for confirmed dates and times.
