Myra Jean Kahley

Myra Jean Kahley, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Alden Alma Nelson Manor. She was born July 28, 1930, in Kenton, Ohio, the daughter of Roger and Beryl (Clay) Williams. Myra married Theodore J. Kahley at Bethel Church of Christ in Hardin County, Ohio, on September 25, 1949. He predeceased her in June of 2001. She was a member of Calvary Christian Church. Myra was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with them.
Survived by her sons, Timothy W. (Julie) Kahley, Theodore E. (Joan) Kahley and Bryce (Jeanette Shelton) Kahley, all of Rockford; her grandchildren, Beckie (Carlos) Garcia, Rachel, Theodore T., Erin, Tanya, Grant, and Jenna Kahley; her step grandchildren, Jeron (Sheila) Shelton, Jele'na (Jeremy) Holcomb, Jonathon (Olivia) Shelton, Jordan Shelton, and Dorcinda "Dottie" White; her great-granddaughter, Viviana Garcia; her brother, Neil Williams. Predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Theodore, her parents, and her brother, Don Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 6, 2014, in Calvary Christian Church, 5455 Charles St. Rockford. Visitation from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and from 10:00 am until 10:45 am on Monday at the church. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
