Milton Conrad Lindquist, 97, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on September 26, 2021. Born on March 12, 1924 in Rockford to Conrad and Francis (Walker) Lindquist, Milton went on to spend over 37 years at J. L. Clark as a manager in their container plant. In his younger years he spent time in WWII in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1945 and was stationed in Europe. Starting in childhood he found his love for singing and proceeded to sing all his life, beginning at WROK radio and later in churches and nursing homes in the Chicago and Rockford area.
He will be missed by those who loved him most, his sons, Brian (Susan) Lindquist and Robert Lindquist (Allison Baedke); his grandchildren, Sara, Laura, Abigail, Robert Jr., Carly and Sydney; great-grandchildren; Sadie, Addison and Samuel; sister, Joanne (Paul) Larson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Eileen; his parents and his sister, Margaret (Arthur) Jacobson.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park.
