Mildred A. Davis

Mildred A. Davis, 77 of Rockford passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Born October 26, 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Vito and Frances (Scimeca) Locascio. She married Robert Davis on July 1, 1950 in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Mildred loved taking trips to the casinos and was always active. She loved spending time with her grandchildren every opportunity she had.

Survivors include her husband Robert, son Michael (Susan) Davis, grandchildren Joshua and Christina, great-grandchildren Tailor, Adison, Gideon, Felicity and Cassidy. Sisters Caroline, Josephine, JoAnn and numerous nieces, nephews and best friend Florence. Predeceased by her parents, daughter Barbara Jo in 1999 and sister Lucy.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103, with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Friday in the church until time of Mass. Interment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
