Miguel Mendiola Villagomez, Jr.

Miguel Mendiola Villagomez Jr. passed away suddenly on Friday, February 9, 2024 in Rockford, Illinois. Born on March 4th of 1997 to parents Miguel Villagomez Sr. and Claudia Mendiola, the first born of three children. Miguel grew up in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Kennedy High School in 2016. He recently moved to the Rockford area to focus on building new beginnings and with his family. Miguel enjoyed photography, nature, owls, reading, arts and looked forward to family gatherings. His plans was to travel by learning to fly a plane, improve his artistic abilities and his love for sports cars.

Miguel is survived by those who love him dearly; parents, Miguel Villagomez Sr. and Claudia Mendiola; brother, Jonathan Villagomez; sister, Isabella Villagomez; cats, Wolfy and Willow.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL, 61108. Miguel Mendiola Villagomez Jr. falleció repentinamente el viernes 9 de febrero de 2024 en Rockford, Illinois. Nació el 4 de marzo de 1997 de padres Miguel Villagómez Sr. y Claudia Mendiola, el primogénito de tres hijos. Miguel creció en Chicago, Illinois y se graduó de Kennedy High School en 2016. Recientemente se mudó al área de Rockford para enfocarse en construir nuevos comienzos y con su familia. A Miguel le gustaba la fotografía, la naturaleza, los búhos, la lectura, las artes y esperaba con ansias las reuniones familiares. Sus planes eran viajar aprendiendo a pilotar un avión, mejorar sus habilidades artísticas y su amor por los coches deportivos.

A Miguel le sobreviven quienes lo aman entrañablemente, sus padres Miguel Villagómez Sr. y Claudia Mendiola, su hermano Jonathan Villagómez, hermana, Isabella Villagómez; gatos, Wolfy and Willow.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el domingo 18 de febrero de 2024 de 12:00 p.m. a 3:00 p.m. en Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL, 61108.
