Michael W. Rhanor

Michael W. Rhanor, 67, Rockford passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2022, of AML following 4 weeks of loving home hospice care by family. He was born November 14, 1954, in Lafayette, IN, the son of Maurice and Mary (Frame) Rhanor. Michael was a veteran serving in the Navy as a data systems technician from 1974-1980. He spoke often of his assignment to the USS Chicago and his deployment on 2 WESTPAC cruises. He worked for Wang Laboratories in Rockford for many years as a field service technician and later at Motorola and most recently at BVR Technologies.

Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rose and sons, Chris (Crystal) Rhanor of San Diego, CA and Thom (Allison) Rhanor of Godfrey; his grandchildren, Forrest and Charlie Eryn. Predeceased by his parents.

Per Michael’s request, he will be interred and memorialized at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton, IL.
