Michael P. Marean

Michael P. Marean, 76, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018. He passed peacefully with his wife, Nancy and granddaughter Alyssa at his side.

Born September 11, 1941 in Rockford, son of Clarence and Arlene (Woodman) Marean. Michael married his wife, Nancy (Graff) Marean in 2006. He was a loving, tough and tender man. A devoted Green Bay Packer fan! He loved the Lord and family and meeting people. Making others laugh and smile was his joy. He retired with awards and millions of accident free miles as an over the road truck driver for 45 years. He took great pride in our country serving in the U.S. Army. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Survived by his wife, Nancy (Graff) Marean; step-son Jason Graff and his children, Alyssa, Devan, and Dakota; step-son, Mathew (Genny) Graff and their children, Mackenzie and Gracie; four sisters, Linda (Denny) Lundin, Sylvia (Skip) Richardson, Darla (Joe) Smith, and Marcy (Ken) Ward; brother, Rod Marean; one daughter; two step-daughters; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Amber Marean, and a brother, Steve Marean.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory – Mulford Chapel with Chaplain Norm Shirk officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, February 17, from 4:00 P.M. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the family to be determined at a later date.
