Michael P. Macias

Michael “Mike” P. Macias, 48, of Rockford, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018. He was born July 14, 1969, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Charles and Marge (Polito) Macias. Mike graduated from West High School. He worked for many years at Comcast as an engineering technician. Mike loved music and was a member of the band Pulse 18, winning several R.A.M.I. awards. He was a generous man with a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered as a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Survived by his wife, Clair Macias; parents, Marge Macias and Charles (Susan) Macias; brother, Chuck (Lisa) Macias; nieces and nephews, Kahla, Sierra, Payton, Riley, Nicholas and Kayla; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his special buddy Parker. Predeceased by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford rd., Rockford, IL 61108 and again at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to determine at a later date.
