Michael P Lewis

Michael Lewis, 64, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in his home. Born September 15, 1951 in Rockford, the son of Gene & Doris (Carroll) Lewis. A Harlem High School Alumni. He started his own company, Town & County Building Maintenance. Married Vicki Thompson on July 20, 2014. He enjoyed music, dancing, fishing, camping, the Chicago Cubs and traveling to his favorite place Sunset Beach. Michael was known for his hard work ethic and his huge heart. He had a lot of charisma and was the life of the party.
Survivors include wife Vicki, sons Michael (Nanette) Lewis and Paul Fraizer, daughter Jennifer Bean; siblings Connie (Dennis) Price, Daniel (Martina) Lewis, Melody Roccaforte, Darlene (Darrell) Houseweart and Faith (Rick) Farmer; extending family Michelle (Travis) Wikoff, Amy Booth, Brad Stukins, Angela Stukins and Stephanie (fiancée Matt) Chapman; 18 grandchildren. Predeceased by parents and granddaughter Anastasia.
A celebration of life will be held at the Venetian Club, 2180 Elmwood Rd, Rockford, Il 61103 from 3 to 6 pm Sunday, December 13, 2015 with a prayer service starting at 3 pm.
