Michael Myles Woldman

June 25, 1974 — January 12, 2024

Michael Myles Woldman, 49, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at UIC Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by his family.

Mike was born on June 25, 1974, in Oak Park to Carl and Carol (Vohs) Woldman. He grew up in Clarendon Hills, IL and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1992. He spent his time playing baseball, golf, and hockey. Mike played baseball for the Kane County Cougars and graduated from College of DuPage. He played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays during preseason, until he hurt his knee and could no longer play.

In 2000, he met his wife, Andrea (Calcione) and they married on November 3, 2001 at Christ United Methodist Church. In March 2006, they welcomed twin boys, Myles Bryan and Grant Nicholas. The boys are Mike’s greatest accomplishment. He shared his love of baseball, which was short lived for the boys, his love of golf, and his love of hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks. Mike coached many youth hockey teams for the boys and made life-long friends. He also shared his passion for golf with the boys. One of his favorite things to do with the boys was golf at Timber Pointe. He was looking forward to the fall so he could take the boys with him on his annual golf trip to Michigan.

Mike also had an immense love for animals. He loved his dogs and cats and will be missed greatly by Margo, Monty, Ophelia, Beatrice, and Nellie.

For 22 years, Mike worked in commercial real estate, doing leasing, sales, and property management. The past three years, Mike found his true passion-commercial real estate development while working for In Commercial Property Group, Chicago.

To know Mike was to love him. His ability to tell a story and make people laugh was like no other. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Our lives are better having known and loving Mike.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea; sons, Myles and Grant; mother, Carol; brother, Bryan (Pavla); father and mother-in-law, Joseph (Susan) Calcione; brother-in-law, Nick (Kelli) Calcione; nieces and nephews, Zoey and Alex Woldman and Gavin and Blake Calcione. Predeceased by his father, Carl and niece, Hope Calcione.
