Michael M. Morrison

Michael Mathew Morrison, 45, of Rockton passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018. Born on March 21, 1973, in Sycamore, the son of Jeffrey and Teresa (Tessling) Morrison. Mike was a paramedic and firefighter for Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department for many years. Mike was an unselfish and giving individual. He devoted his life to serving others, whether as a paramedic, a firefighter, and a construction worker, and his contributions to his community will never be forgotten. Mike was seen as the life of every party, always laughing and cracking (sometimes inappropriate) jokes. Mike would have done anything for anyone. It did not matter if you were a stranger or a family member, he would have done everything in his power to fix any issue that bothered you. He would have done anything to make you smile, to make you laugh, to make you feel better. Mike devoted his life to others, and he was always the first person to lend a hand. Mike’s memory will forever live on through his children and the contributions he did for others.
Mike is lovingly survived by his children, Sabrina Morrison and Erika Morrison, and their mother, Angel Mogren, and Annalise Morrison and Michael Morrison, and their mother, Kim Galaviz; father, Jeff Morrison; siblings, Jennifer (Roger) Bloom, Mary (Courtney) Ford, Melissa Morrison and Matt (Eva) Morrison; loving uncle to Brendyn, Peyton, Breydan, Jeffrey, Zachary, Chloe, Sienna, Gabriella, Evan, Olivia, Ethan and Elijah and was a proud godfather to Sienna and Ethan. Predeceased by his mother, Teresa and grandparents.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue.
