Michael Joseph Poffenbaugh

Michael J. Poffenbaugh 48 of Rockford passed away Thursday December 12, 2013 in home. He was born February 28, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Charles and Carolyn Poffenbaugh. Michael graduated from Auburn High School and Rock Valley College. Michael then went and worked at Hilander for 27 years. He was a member of St Rita Church. Growing up AYSO Soccer was a big part of his life, as well as the Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors include his parents Charles and Carolyn. Brother; Mark (Suzanne) Poffenbaugh. Nieces and nephews; Sam, Micaiah, Ana and Lydia Poffenbaugh. Uncles; Joe Culbertson and Terence (Gretchen) Poffenbaugh. Aunts; Joyce (Bruce) Gomach, Charlene (Winston) Clayton and Carole (George) Bennett. Predeceased by his Grandparents and Uncle Christopher Poffenbaugh.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Monday December 16, 2013 in St Rita Church with Father Gerard Christianson officiating. Burial in Arlington Cemetery.
