Michael J. Lamont

Michael J. Lamont, 61 of Roscoe passed away on August 3, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born April 8, 1947 in Rockford, son of Elwin and Grace (Zacharias) Lamont. Following his graduation from Auburn High School, Michael enlisted with the United States Army Reserves. He was employed by Humphrey Cadillac and Olds for over 25 years, and later worked for Jack Wolf Auto Center as a service writer. Michael enjoyed yard work, training with his horse Rambo, and was always up for a family event with his nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his wonderful friend and neighbor Kenny (Sandy) Brewer and to Heartland Hospice.   He is survived by his brothers, Kerry (Pat) Lamont of Loves Park and David Lamont of Rockford. Nephews Corey (Misty Keinz) Lamont, Travis (Cindie) Lamont and Scott (Randae) Lamont. Niece Tracey (Chris) and great nieces and nephews, Zack, Sean and Ariana, Hayden, Thea and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Grael Lamont in 1991.   Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with the Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice, 4960 E. State St., Rockford, Il 61108. To
