Michael R. Ingersoll

Michael “Mike” “Mouse” Richard Ingersoll, 65, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Mike was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 3, 1959, the son of Richard M. and SueAnn D. (VanSelow) Ingersoll. He married Robynn L. Ricker in Belvidere, IL on July 21, 1984. Mike worked many dedicated years in line service for the aviation industry. He was a proud member of the Rock Valley RC Flyers model airplane club in Rockford. Mike enjoyed many hobbies along with his model airplanes, including slot car racing, brewing his own moonshine and watching NHRA drag racing events. He was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks fan and even began to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mike will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Robynn Ingersoll; children, Nathaniel Ingersoll and Michele Ingersoll (Sean Toohey); mother, SueAnn Ingersoll; brother, Steve Ingersoll; nieces and nephews, Rebekah Stokes, Jenny (Will) Hughes, Melody (Jeff) Klassy, Abraham (Emily) Ingersoll, Rosemary (Jeff) McKenzie, Jacob Ingersoll, Shanell (Jason) Hoppe and Jacob (Mariah) Patty; numerous cousins and many special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mike’s name to the American Heart Association and the Animal House Shelter in Huntley, IL.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108.
