Michael Fornal

Michael Fornal, 35, of Cherry Valley, died on Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was born in Rockford on March 18, 1982; to parents Stanley E. and Georgina “Jean” (Gulotta) Fornal. Michael attended East High School, and was a charismatic young man who was one of a kind. He had creative spirit, Michael loved music, art, and even gardening. Michael will forever be remembered for his warm heart, and his willingness to do anything for anyone. Michael’s family and friends will never forget the love and memories that he brought to their lives.

Michael is survived by his mom, Jean Fornal; sister, Amy (Robert) Peterson; nephews and niece, Trent, Tyler, and Clara Peterson; uncle, Ben (Dionna) Gulotta; cousin, Gabe Gulotta; aunt, Joanne Snyders. He is predeceased by his father, Stan E. Fornal; aunt, Christa Fornal; maternal grandparents, George and Gina Gulotta; paternal grandparents, Stanislaw and Martha Fornal.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108, with a time of sharing at 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to the Fornal family to be established at a later time.
