Michael E. Freeman

Michael E. Freeman, 24, of Loves Park, left us too soon on Friday, February 6, 2015. He was born in Rockford on December 15, 1990; son of Kurt Freeman and Mitzi DiVerdi. Mike attended Harlem High School, and was a proud employee of Hyundai on Perryville. He loved cars, enjoyed softball, and was an avid bowler. Mike was especially proud that he and his girlfriend Sarah, are expecting a daughter, Michaela Nicole, this May. Mike is survived by his parents, Kurt (Mary) Freeman and Mitzi (Julio Garcia) DiVerdi; girlfriend, Sarah Orsborn; siblings, Erica (Patrick) Hastings, Shaun Chapman, Jacob Freeman, Madelyn Freeman; paternal grandma, Janette Freeman; grandparents, Richard (Madelyn) Greensides; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his paternal grandpa, Gene Freeman; maternal grandma, Connie DiVerdi; aunt, Rebecca DiVerdi. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108, with Reverend Randy Young officiating. Visitation will be 5:30-9:00 pm, Friday, February 13, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory; and 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday.
