Michael E. Booker

Michael “Mike” E. Booker, 36, heartbreakingly passed away on September 7, 2021 in Rockford, Illinois. Born on December 10, 1984 in Rockford, Illinois son to Brian Booker and Michele Gregory. Mike spent most of his life working locally for different trucking companies, and in February of 2021 decided to happily work for Ja Frate. He chose to drive truck locally because he was very family orientated, and did not want to be away from his son for long periods of time. When he found out he was going to be a father he was so happy, he absolutely had a love for children, and made his son an unconditional priority in his life. They enjoyed things like UFC fights at restaurants or at home, playing games on their PS4, and he was proud to watch his son at his wrestling matches. He loved his family, often spending time talking to his brother over headset on the road, and spending ample time with his nieces and great nephew. His family and friends will miss his quick witted sense of humor and helping hand.

He will be missed by those who loved him most, his son Brayden; his mother Michele (Lenny) Forsell; siblings Randy (Heather) Booker and Sara Booker; his nieces Haley and Aubree; great nephew Brady who he affectionately called “Tater,” and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends. A special mention to his aunt Barby who cared for him deeply. He is predeceased by his father Brian Booker, and his grandparents.

A gathering will take place for Mike on September 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108.
