Michael Dennis Hill

Michael Mike Dennis Hill, 59, of Roscoe, died on Monday, March 3, 2008, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center following a lengthy battle with diabetes. Born on October 2, 1948, in Kewanee, he is the son of Donald and Marion (Walsh) Hill. Mike married Susan Sue K. Buck in Rockford, on November 30, 1968. Mike was a 1967 graduate of Boylan High School. He worked for Barber Coleman until 1970 and then for Rockford Memorial Hospital for 30 years retiring as a project manager. Mike loved to camp and fish. He was instrumental in forming the American Diabetes Association in Rockford. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his friendship touched those who knew him in a positive way. nbsp; Mike is survived by his wife, Sue; his sons, Dennis (Julie) and Tim (Stacy) Hill; his grandchildren, Cara, Michael, Riley and Jake Hill; his mother, Marion Hill; his sisters, Maureen (John) Mariotti of Columbus, OH and Nancy (Lloyd) Sample of Naples, FL; his brother, Tom (Theresa) Hill of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father. nbsp; Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2008, at Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3201 Huffman Rd., Rockford, with Rev. Ken Krause officiating.nbsp; Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
