Michael Dean Numbers, 54

Michael Dean Numbers, 54, of Rockford passed away August 2, 2015 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born September 5, 1960, in Monmouth, IL, the son of Larry and Frances (Dahlke) Numbers. Michael owned and operated his own auto body paint shop named Paint by Numbers. Later he worked for Speedway Auto Mall retiring in 2007. Married Peggy Howarth in Rockton on March 14, 1992. Michael was an outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, hunting with his brothers, and he also enjoyed working on cars. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his best friend and loyal companion Jackson his dog.

Survivors include wife Peggy Numbers; father Larry Numbers, mother Frances (Jim) Numbers-Hall; Brothers Charles (Debra) Numbers of California, Mark (Neleta) Numbers of Illinois, and Eric (Laura) Numbers of Oklahoma. Brother-in-law's Jim (Barbara) Howarth of Texas and Tom (Bronwyn) Howarth of Illinois; nieces and nephew Sophie, Chloe, Ryan, Katherine, Kristin, Jake, Taylor, Katie, Zakk, Jacob, Kenda, Maggie, Shannon, Brody, Jimmy, Kristie, Melanie, Amanda, Joel, Cory, and Katie; Great nieces and nephews Ben, Griffin, Nora, Sophie, Maddie, And Caleb. Numerous aunts and uncles, special aunt and uncle Eddie & Shirley Mecum, and aunt Deb Numbers, special friend Mike and Wendy Geiselhart. Predeceased by grandparents, in laws Bob and Wilma Howarth and aunts and uncles.

Service will be 2 pm Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Kingsbury officiating. The family will receive guests from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Per the family request in honor of Michael come casual or wear you Chicago Bears Shirt.
