Michael L. Carlson

Michael “Mike” Lynn Carlson, 59, of Rockford, passed away on June 10, 2024. He was born on December 2, 1964, in Rockford, the son of Jerald and Sandra (Meyer) Carlson. He married Anna Neubauer on May 7, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mike enjoyed golfing, driving his Tesla, and could always be found with a diet pop with a lemon. He valued the time spent with his wife, kids, and grandson, especially their trips to Costco. He was an avid cook, known for his Swedish pancakes, cheese toasties, peanut butter balls, and egg scramble. Also loved having his family over for pizza nights, hanging out and creating memories.

 He is survived by his wife, Anna; children, Amber (Christopher) Piasecki, Jerry Carlson, Katie (fiancé, Al) Carlson, and Michael Jr. Carlson; grandchildren, Alexander and Evelynn Piasecki; mother, Sandra (Tony) Scudiero; and brother, Christopher Carlson. He is predeceased by his father, Jerald Carlson.

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103. A visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
